HCC Welcomes New Sport Shooter, Gage McElhinney

The Hawkeye Community College sports shooting team has added a new member to the RedTails family in Gage McElhinney of Morning Sun, Iowa.

McElhinney will be a May 2019 graduate of Mediapolis High School, where he participated in Future Farmers of America (FFA), band, and choir. He was a 2018 state agronomy qualifier and earned honors at the Iowa District Career Development Competition for welding.

He is the son of Randy and Leah McElhinney and will enroll in the Agricultural Business Management program this fall.
