Dance Team Hosts RedTail Showcase

The RedTail Dance Team hosted the RedTail Showcase on February 18, where a slew of participants showed off their moves.

The home showcase was a success consisting of 48 dancers ranging from preschool to 6th grade; making this the largest camp yet in program history. During the camp, the collegiate dancers taught the campers two routines for the girls to perform later that day at the showcase.

The RedTail Showcase later highlighted an abundance of talent; where they invited the North Tama High School Dance Team and Allison's Dance Company to perform. Aside from these acts, some of the RedTail dancers displayed solos and duets of their own to impress the local audience.

"We love sharing our passion for dance with others," said head coach Abby Kopriva.

She went on to share, "For the final performance of the show we showcased a coed dance with boys from golf, sport shooting, and soccer! The crowd went crazy! This was by far our best showcase yet and we can't wait to keep making it bigger as the years come. We want to thank all teams that performed, all dancers that attended the camp, and all families and friends that came to support!"

Next up, the RedTail Dance team will perform at The Dance Challenge in Cedar Rapids, February 24, 2024.
