Male Athlete of the Week-Tyler Laube

Male Athlete of the Week-Tyler Laube

RedTail Esports student-athlete Tyler Laube has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Rainbow Six Siege playoffs and National Championship on December 5-7.

Tyler has had an outstanding performance so far in our playoff run for Rainbow Six Siege. He went 16/11/6 across the two-map Round One Playoff series vs State Fair Community College (B team) and 25/21/9 across the three-map Quarterfinals series vs State Fair Community College (A team).

"Tyler is invaluable as a leader for our team," said head coach Ryan Goeke. "He's an all-around positive force for our team inside and outside of the game. He prepares a lot of our map strategies in Rainbow Six Siege, and on the server, he gives us all of the information we need to win."

"Since I will be graduating after this semester is over in the fall, I was just very excited that I got to be a part of the semi-final game," said Tyler. "Even though our team was seeded lower than the opponent for the second round in a row we didn't let that get to us and we were able to win. I am extremely proud of my team and me for fighting through and making it to the National Championship game. This is the best way I could've hoped to end my Esports career."

Laube is originally from Dike, IA.
