Male Athlete of the Week-Saul Hernandez

RedTail Bowling student-athlete Saul Hernandez has been named Scheels Male Athlete of the Week for his overall performance in the Mid Iowa Bowling Conference Tournament at home on December 9th and 10th.

Saul was our highest JV bowler and our second-highest RedTail bowler overall at our Mid-Iowa Bowling Conference Tournament #2 this past weekend finishing 25th in the tournament standings, along with being 8th in overall individual conference points standings for JV bowlers. For this tournament, Saul had scores of 211, 185, 188, 188, and 138 for a 910 total, averaging 182 for the event. Saul ended with a 181.8 conference average.

"Saul has been pretty consistent for our conference tournaments and averaging in the 180s for both events are respectable scores," said head coach Roger Taylor. "Just being 3 spots out of the all-conference team for JV bowlers in 8th place, is nothing to be disappointed about and we're looking forward to seeing more strides from Saul going forward."

Hernandez is originally from Manchester, IA.
