Hawkeye RedTails Golf Team Competes in NIACC Fall Invitational

MASON CITY- Hawkeye Community College RedTails club golf team traveled to Northern Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Monday, September 9, to compete in NIACC's annual golf invitational. Hawkeye competed against 10 different golf teams from various colleges around the state of Iowa.

The RedTails placed 10th overall at the invitational with a score of 339. Iowa Lakes led the invitational with a score of 305, followed by Iowa Central with a score of 310. Eric Krull led the RedTails with an individual score of 78 and placing 12th overall. Coming in a tight second to Krull was Austin Bohnsack, who completed the invitational with a score of 85 and placed 47th within individual standings. Placing third for Hawkeye was Levi Suhr, scoring 87 and finishing 50th overall individually.

The team will head to Waldorf University on Sunday, September 18, to compete. Competition is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
