MASON CITY-- The Hawkeye RedTail Men's Golf Team placed fourth at the NIACC Fall Invitational on Thursday, with the Orange Team shooting a team score of 305 and the Blue Team scoring 325.

Orange Team freshmen Colin Kitson and Brayden Fahrni paced the squad with scores of 77 and 79 respectively. Keon Huffman, Matthew Sternhagen, and Alec Martin led the Blue Team, with all three shooting 81.

"Very impressed with our Blue group today as they shot 325 and I believe all of them set personal bests on a course they've never played," said head coach Micah Destival, "Brayden Fahrni also made the most of his first appearance on the Orange team by shooting 79, also a personal best."

The tournament start time was moved up slightly due to weather concerns. The decision was proven wise, as the event ended just before the storm came.

The RedTail Golf Team is back in action Friday September 20 in Galena, Ill. at the Clarke Fall Classic.
