Home Golf Meet Leads to New School Record

WATERLOO-The RedTails shattered their total team record for the second time this season at their home meet on Friday, September 26. Their school record 304 (previous record 312) was good enough to take home a fifth place finish.

The RedTails played with great consistency as four of their top five golfers were within two shots of each other. Austin Reynolds and Colin Kitson led the way for the RedTails, both shooting 3 over (75). Reynolds led the team with four birdies in his round while Kitson scored sunk three.

Next were Derrick Schorg and Ethan Fox with five over 77s; they each had two birdies in their rounds. Brayden Fahrni rounded out the RedTail top five shooting an 88.

"We had excellent weather today which led to some great scoring by our team," said head coach Micah Destival. "It is always fun to take down a school record while still being able to find coaching moments on where we can improve. Assistant coach Bill Sutton and I are looking forward to this coming weekend to see if we can keep improving our scores."
