RedTail Men’s Golf Takes Second in NIACC Invite

The RedTails traveled to Mason City on Tuesday, September 26, with two teams taking second and seventh place.

The Orange team shot an overall team score of 288 and took second place. Kaedan Anderson tied for fourth place individually, shooting 69. Bruno Marti Jimenez shot 71, tying for eighth. Emil Christensen was just two strokes behind Jimenez, shooting 73 and tying for 11th and Oskar Kahr was just two strokes behind Christensen shooting 75 and tying for 17th. Tristin Sorgenfrey shot 82, placing 35th.

The Blue team shot an overall team score of 310, placing seventh out of eight teams. Will Steege shot 73, tying for 11th individually. Mauricio Jimenez was three strokes behind Steege with 76 and tied for 19th. Boddie Goddard shot 80, tying for 30th. Just one stroke behind Goddard was Drew Jones, shooting 81 and tying for 33rd. Nash Arbuckle shot 83 and tied for 36th and Ethan Vu shot 89, tying for 42nd. 

Head coach Micah Destival had some positive words after Tuesday's invite. 

"Highland Park was very scorable today and we took advantage of another nice day," he said. "Kaeden Anderson continues to impress and Oskar Kahr has worked his way back into the mix with some good playing the last couple tournaments.  Friday at Waldorf will be a good way to finish off a great week."

The RedTails next invite is the Waldorf Invite on Friday, September 29, starting at 11:00am at the Rice Lake Golf Course.
