RedTail Men’s Golf Competes in Waldorf Invite

The RedTails finished with an overall team score of 305, taking third place out of 11 teams.

The RedTails played great on a very hot day in Lake Mills. Kaedan Anderson and Tristin Sorgenfrey both tied for third and shot total individual scores of 73. Emil Christensen was just three strokes behind them with a score of 76 and tying for seventh place. Will Steege and Mauricio Jimenez both shot individual scores of 77 and tied for 11th.

The individuals that also competed had a successful day. Oskar Kahr shot 79, tying for 19th. Bruno Marti Jimenez shot 82 and tied for 32nd. Drew Jones and Nash Arbuckle both shot 85 individually and tied for 42nd. Bodie Goddard shot a total of 89 and placed 53rd.

Head coach Micah Destival had some positive words after the invite.

"Rice Lake was a fun course and we did fairly well for our first time seeing it," he said. "It was very scorable if you kept the ball in play and we probably sprayed it a little too much than what we are used to and didn't have quite as many birdie chances as we'd have liked.  We get a week off now to prepare for our last home tournament of the fall at Fox Ridge in Dike."

The RedTails next invite will be the SW Invite at Lake Panorama on Monday and Tuesday, October 16-17.
