RedTail Men’s Golf Gets First Place at the Graceland Spring Invite

The RedTail Men's Golf team competed in the Graceland Spring Invite on March 22-23, 2024, and received first place out of the eight teams that competed in the tournament. The men's overall score was 334. 

Kaeden Anderson scored a 78, which gave him second place overall. Bruno Marti Jimenez golfed an 84, which is ninth place. Tristin Sorgenfrey and Emil Christensen tied for 12th place and golfed a score of 86. Will Steege shot an 88, 19th place. Mauricio Jimenez had a score of 90 and came in 29th place. And Drew Jones got 91, scoring in 35th place. 

Head coach Micah Destival said, "Proud of our team today for keeping it together in what was probably the worst weather we've ever played in. Kaeden Anderson played a great round of golf and even though it was brutal the other guys didn't give up and we were able to win the tournament."

The team is gearing up for their next event and is excited to continue to compete. Their next tournament will take place in Waverly at the Wartburg Invitational March 29-30.
