RedTail Men’s Golf Tied for Fifth Place at the Raiders Invitational

ORANGE CITY–On April 15, 2024, the RedTail Men's Golf Team traveled to Landsmeer Golf Club to compete in the Raiders Invitational. The RedTails tied for fifth place in the 36-hole competition, where they had 48 over par.

Head coach Micah Destival said, "It was another windy spring day for 36 holes and some solid play out of the guys. Will Steege fired a 75 in the first round to lead us, and it was nice to see Oskar Kahr shoot a team-low 74 in the second round."

As far as individual scores go, Bruno Marti Jimenez came in 14th place overall with a total score of 152 points. Kaeden Anderson tied for 19th place, where he received 154 points. Will Steege had 155 points, where he tied for 23rd place. Emil Christensen and Oskar Kahr were not far behind as they tied for 26th place with a total of 156 points. And Tristin Sorgenfrey came in 29th place, with a total score of 159 points.

Overall, it was a great competition for the athletes, and they are still continuing to work on their strokes. Destival said, "I am looking forward to playing a couple of home meets in the next week." The RedTails will be in action on Friday, April 19, 8:30am at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo. Good luck Redtails!
