RedTail Men’s Golf Receives Fifth Place at the Waterloo Intercollegiate

WATERLOO–The RedTail Men's Golf Team received fifth place with a score of 912 in the Waterloo Intercollegiate on April 19-20, 2024. 

The first round totaled up to 310, the second round with 300, and the third round with 302. The weather conditions were not ideal for a golf tournament because it was very windy. 

"I thought we played a great tournament with a very good field," said head coach Micah Destival. "Fifth place with a good three-round total in some cold, windy weather is a step in the right direction as we finish our season."

For individual scores, Kaeden Anderson came in second place with a score of 219. His rounds were 72, 74, and 73. Oskar Kahr came in ninth place overall (224). His rounds were 74, 75, and 75. Tristin Sorgenfrey came in 24th place (230). He golfed scores of 78, 76, and 76. Will Steege came in 27th place with 231. His rounds were 79, 78, and 74. Bruno Marti Jimenez golfed a score of 235. He received 43rd place overall with his rounds consisting of 81, 75, and 79. Emil Christensen came in 46th place with a score totaling 238 (84, 75, 79). In 59th place was Nash Arbuckle with a score of 249. His three rounds consisted of 83, 85, and 81. Mauricio Jimenez came in 60th place (252). His scores were 85, 81, and 86. Andrew Jones came in 65th place with 266. He golfed 87, 84, and 95. And Ethan Yu came in 67th place (278). He had rounds of 93, 90, and 95. 

The RedTails will be competing in the RedTail Spring Shootout at Fox Ridge Golf Course on April 22, 2024, in Dike. Good luck to the RedTails competing!
