RedTail Men’s Golf Place Second in the Spring Shootout

DIKE–On April 22, 2024, the RedTail Men's Golf Team hosted the RedTail Spring Shootout where they received second place in the tournament. Even though the weather conditions were not ideal for a golf tournament, the men competed very well and head coach Micah Destival was very pleased with their performance. "I thought we did a pretty nice job playing in some severe wind for this tournament," said Destival. 

Kaeden Anderson had an amazing performance as he tied for runner-up with an athlete on an opposing team. He shot 75, and overall he was three over par. Emil Christensen was not far behind him in fourth place, where he shot 76. Will Steege came in 12th place with a score of 80. Tristin Sorgenfrey was in 18th place with a total score of 83. Next was Bruno Marti Jimenez shooting 87 which gave him 26th place. Nash Arbuckle was not far behind his teammate, as he came in 28th place, shooting 88. Mauricio Jimenez had a score of 89, which gave him 31st place. Andrew Jones was in 36th place with 92. Ethan Yu shot 99, and he came in 41st place. 

With only a few more events left to end their season, the RedTail Men's Golf Team is looking to get in a few more tournaments. They will be off to the District Tournament May 6-7 at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo, Iowa. Great work this week RedTails!
