RedTails JV Take on Fellow ICCAC Teams at Jim Curell Invitational

The Hawkeye RedTails JV golf team took flight to Boone on Friday, September 25. Ten guys from the RedTails roster made the trip, including sophomores Drew Jones and Nash Arbuckle and freshmen Graham Bremner, Carson Fox, Kaden Kopsa, Carson Nash, Jace Pruisner, Mitchell Randall, Colton Sullivan, and Daniel Wiese. Fox would lead the ten individuals with a score of 74 (+2) to have him tie for tenth place. Randall posted his season-best finish in 18th place, firing a 77 (+5). Bremner, Jones, Kopsa, and Pruisner all finished tied for 23rd, shooting 79 (+7). Coach Micah Destival shared his thoughts on the team's finish. "We were excited to see some growth with our JV guys on a new course. Carson Nash fired a career-best 74 to lead us, and Mitchell Randall also played good with a 77. The guys have put in the work so far this fall, and hopefully, their scores keep dropping."

On the women's side, freshmen Maggie Ward and Natalie Sinnwell competed for the RedTails. Ward fired 109 while Sinnwell shot 110. Destival shared his thoughts on the ladies. "Lots of positives to take away from Cedar Pointe with Maggie and Natalie having good stretches of holes. Maggie was able to lower her career best by quite a few strokes.  Looking forward to our home tournament on Friday at Fox Ridge in Dike."
