The Hawkeye Community College men's soccer team was defeated by nationally ranked conference opponent Marshalltown Community College, 8-0, in the RedTails' final home game of the season Wednesday.

Marshalltown, ranked sixth in the country, improved to 14-1 by netting four goals in each half. The RedTails played from behind early and struggled to keep keep up an attack as they managed just four shots on goal.

The RedTails travel to Council Bluffs to take on conference opponent Iowa Western in the last game of the season on Saturday, October 13.
