Men’s Soccer Falls 1-0 in Second Overtime

The Hawkeye Community College men's soccer team suffered a disappointing 1-0 double-overtime loss against conference opponent Iowa Western in the RedTails' final game of the season.

The RedTails relied heavily on their defense in Saturday's matchup as the game was a defensive stalemate until Iowa Western's Thei Tho broke loose in the 101st minute.

The men's soccer team ended the season with an overall record of 3-11-1 and a conference record of 1-8-1. The team returns star goalkeeper Brendan Dally and leading scorer Fadel Kabore but graduates proven starters in midfielders Cain Smith and Kieren Underdown, defenders Alberto Faraci, Colton Beyrle, William Alvarenga and forward Zach Harris and Spencer Johnson for the 2019 season.
