Men’s Soccer Team Victorious Yet Again

WATERLOO–The RedTail Men's Soccer team came ready to play Wednesday night, defeating an energetic Southeastern Eagles team 2-1.

Both RedTail goals came in the first half, the first unassisted by Jayce Berger (15:09) after he put on a nifty move, shaking a defender and striking in a goal with his dominant kicking foot.

Berger later assisted Robert Lodge, who put the RedTails up 2-0 at the half (27:19)

The Eagles attempted to rally, but it was not enough to stop the RedTails' persistent defense. Brendan Dally was phenomenal in the nets, as the goalie tallied five crucial saves throughout the game. Both sides played very physical, and the zebras had their hands full throughout the night calling penalties and pulling multiple yellow cards in the second half.

"I think we played down to the team's level and we are better than that," said RedTail head coach Robbie Carroll. "We need to improve each game and not take steps backward."

The RedTails are in action next on Saturday, September 21 as they face Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa.
