RedTail Men’s Soccer Falls to #1 Northeast Hawks
The RedTails took on the Northeast Community College Hawks, falling 3-0.
RedTails put on a good fight against the nationally ranked #1 team. The Hawks scored two points in the first period and one point in the second. The RedTails put on good defense and worked as a team to use their full efforts against an advanced team.
Head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words after the game.
"We knew today was going to be a big test, I can't fault the players' work rates and energy, but we're really disappointed to lose the game from three set pieces," he said. "Winning balls out of the air, attacking, and competing was something we set as non-negotiables at the start of this year and today we fell short of that. We will look at this as a team and make sure we learn and grow from this to make sure we are better in those moments moving forward."
The RedTails next match is on Wednesday, September 27, against NIACC starting at 3:30pm.
