RedTail Men’s Soccer Takes Win Against NIACC
The RedTails took on the Trojans on Wednesday, September 27, taking the win (2-0).
The RedTails fought hard against the NIACC Trojans, scoring one point in the first period and another in the second period. Yusuf Alade made the first point in the first period, assisted by Jonas Andreasen. In the second period, Anders Lauridsen scored the exciting second point. The Trojans received multiple yellow cards.
Head coach Micah Destival had some positive words after Wednesday's match.
"Today was a great example of who we want to be, playing on the front foot, being brave and confident, and not being afraid," he said. "That is when this team is at its best. We felt that in previous games we have sat off too much, been too cautious, and didn't play to the strengths of the players on the field." he said, "Today we were back to the identity we set at the start of the season, the players should take a lot of confidence from today's performance!"
The RedTails next match will be at Iowa Central on Saturday, September 30, starting at 3:30pm.
