RedTail Men’s Soccer Season Comes To An End

RedTail Men’s Soccer Season Comes To An End

The RedTails went up against Marshalltown Community College on Sunday, October 22, for the Region 11 Quarterfinals matchup.

The RedTails put up a strong fight but took the loss 1-0 against the Tigers. The RedTails came close to scoring multiple times but could not get the perfect shot. The game was intense and included ten yellow cards and two red cards between the teams. The RedTails ended with strong defense and their offense grew stronger throughout the match.

Head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words after a good season.

"The guys gave everything today, but unfortunately we came up short," he said. "I was pleased with our work rate and energy, especially in the second half, which is something we wanted to see every game. The players are disappointed with the result, but beyond today's result there are so many good things about this group, they really have laid a good foundation and have taken big strides to move the program back in the right direction. With a large freshmen class, the future's looking bright."

The RedTails fall 2023 season has come to an end with a record of 8-4-3 and lots of growth as a team.
