Tynan van der Veer has recently signed with RedTail Men’s Soccer

NEW ZEALAND–Tynan van der Veer, of Whangārei Boys High School in New Zealand, has recently signed his letter of intent to continue his athletic and academic career at Hawkeye Community College. 

He has been playing since he was five years old, which gives him 13 years of experience. Van der Veer's position is as a fullback/winger. He is very excited to continue playing soccer in college because he loves the sport so much. He said, "I am excited and extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be able to continue to pursue my dreams both athletically and academically overseas at Hawkeye." 

One aspect that van der Veer is looking forward to is meeting everyone at Hawkeye. He said, "I'm looking forward to getting to meet the team, meeting new people, and making more memories. I can't wait!!"

However, he is most excited about being in a new environment and experiencing the United States. He said, "Coming from Whangārei, New Zealand, and moving to Iowa in the United States will be a big adjustment and a great new challenge." 

While attending Hawkeye, van der Veer will major in Liberal Arts, and he is very interested in business.
