RedTails lose to Iowa Central 2-5
The RedTails Men's Soccer team lost against Iowa Central Community College, 2-5, on Saturday, October 5.
The first half of the game was an even match until the last minute with Harry Lea-Oddy scoring the first goal for the RedTails securing a lead going into the second half. The second half was much more intense with Iowa Central scoring their first goal in the first ten minutes of the half. Ahmed Dosso scored just two minutes later with the RedTails once again taking the lead. However, Iowa Central was able to tie the scores again after a penalty kick. In the last twenty minutes of the game Iowa Central took the lead and scored two additional times.
Here is what head coach Christopher Rennie had to say about the match:
"Hugely disappointing. Today was a must win game and we should have been out of sight by half time. But a similar story of this season, we didn't take the chances we created and didn't keep our levels for 90 minutes."
The RedTails will play against Northwest Iowa Community College on Saturday, October 12.
