Bio

Chris Rennie will be entering his first season with the RedTails as the Head Men's and Women’s Soccer coach. Coach Rennie was previously the Interim Women's Head for the Fall '22 season. Rennie started his coaching career as the full-time professional coach at Sporting Iowa Soccer Club in 2009.

 

Rennie has since worked as an assistant coach at the Des Moines Menace of the USL 2, winning the Heartland Conference twice, and the men's and women’s soccer programs at Grand View University, winning seven conference titles and seven national tournament appearances. Prior to coaching, Rennie played soccer for four years at Iowa Wesleyan University as a full scholarship student-athlete, captaining the side in all four seasons. Whilst at IWU, he garnered All-Conference honors and led the team to their first and only regional appearance in school history.

 

Coach Rennie currently holds a USSF C license, NSCCA Premier Diploma, and an NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeper Diploma.

 

Rennie is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, and currently resides in the Cedar Valley with his wife Jenna and three boys: Jack, Liam, and Alfie.
