RedTails Make a Mark at St. Ambrose Meet

The men's track and field team wanted to win a meet as a team and did exactly that, this past Saturday (February 6) at the St. Ambrose Invite (Battle in the Hive). They had an outstanding performance winning the whole meet against four year programs.

Coach Tyler Mulder was pleased with the team saying, "Overall seeing everyone compete and be hungry for the team win was the highlight of the meet, literally everyone brought positive energy and cheered each other on. It was fun to see the team choral behind each other!"

Highlights from the meet included Nate Elliot winning the long jump. Ray Talbert took number one in the 60 meter dash. In both the 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash the men took a clean sweep. Jojo Frost, Connor Belken, and Blake Osborn also qualified for nationals in the 400. Kolby Brackemeyer qualified for nationals in the 600 meter dash. Sam Mickelson took the win in this weekend's mile while also taking a victory in the 3K along with Harrison Vanderlinden and Colby Winter. Blake Veenstra finished third overall in shot put.

The RedTails were able to truly show their talent and ability this past weekend and will continue to do so at their upcoming meet at Region Region XI in Central Missouri on Saturday, February 20.
