Men's Fighting Bee Invitational Results

Saturday January 27, 2024 the RedTail Men's Track and FIeld Team traveled to Davenport Iowa to compete in the Fighting Bee Invitational hosted by St. Ambrose University.

Aaron Campbell represented the RedTails coming in first in the Men's 1000 Meter Run with a time of (2:54.11), as well as placing first in the Men's High Jump Heptathlon (1.86m). In addition to those podium finishes Campbell came in first in the Men's Shot Put Heptathlon (12.08m). 

In the Men's Pole Vault Heptathlon Travis Brace finished on the podium, in third place with a height of 3.00m.

Campbell and Brace also finished second and third in the Men's Long Jump Heptathlon with distances of (6.03m), and (5.90m).  

Tyler Bartels finished second in the Men's 60m Hurdles Heptathlon (9.43).

Also in the Heptathlon Bartels (7.51) took 3rd in the 60 Meter Dash. His teammates Jaxon Weber (7.64) and Travis Brace (7.70) took 4th and fifth.

 Freshman Even Kearney placed fourth in the 200m dash with a time of (22.99). Sophomore Carter Even came in fourteenth in the same race (23.44), Freshman Roland Rhomberg placed in the top 20 as well (23.49).

In the 600m Freshman Brennen Sager finished eighth in the Men's 600m run with a time of (1:28.026). 

The 4x400 team of Noah Sheridan (54.173), Kaden Miller (1:45.565), Even Kearney(2:37.823), and Kenny Cutler (3:28.950), finished fourth with a time of (3:28.950).

Freshman Shot Put thrower, Adam Smith finishes 12th with a distance of 13.33m. Brandt Williams finished 20th with a distance of 12.58m.

Tino Tamayo scored in the top 10 of the Men's Weight Throw, throwing for 15.30m. 

When asked for a quote Coach Scott Roberts had this to say about the teams performance, "The performances were better on Friday than on Saturday due to fatigue.  I like having 2 meets in a row at least once during the season, as the championship meets (conference and Nationals) both are multi-day meets and the kids need to be able to come back and compete well on the 2nd day.
