Men's Cross Country Takes 2nd at Fighting Bee Invitational

BETTENDORF- The RedTail men's cross country team took home a 2nd place finish in the Junior College flight over the weekend at the Fighting Bee Invitational.

Crow Creek Park was the site for the Fighting Bee Invitational and the 17-team race hosted by St. Ambrose University. The all-freshman RedTails competed hard in the 8K race and took home a runner-up finish in the Junior College flight and a 6th place finish overall. Leading the RedTails was Packwood, Iowa native Malcolm Myers in a 15th place finish with a time of 27:25.5. Next up for the RedTails with a time of 27:45.0 was Ryan Milliken for a 21st place finish. Dalton Gosch would cross the finish line next as he finished with a time of 27:54.3 and a 27th place finish. Completing the team scoring for the RedTails and competing hard would be David Thompson (28:03.1) and Peter Torkelson (28:44.8). Isaac Connolly (28:50.7) and Paden Maschmann (28:54.9) rounded out the RedTail runners.

The RedTails will travel to Mason City next for the NIACC Trent Smith Invitational (8k) on October 13. Meet time is set for 10:00 AM.
