RedTail Men Compete At Trent Smith Invitational

MASON CITY- The RedTail men's cross country team were a few men down for the Trent Smith Invitational held at NIACC Friday, but still saw improvement and grew as a team heading into the latter part of the season.

Pacing the RedTails, and running a personal record of 28:20, was Grant Baker. Baker's time earned him a 20th place finish overall. "Grant has really come along for us the last couple weeks our strength has always been our depth on the men's side and it continues to get stronger as we get into championship season," said Head Coach Micah Ruroden after Baker's performance. Chandler Dunn (29:12) and Paden Maschmann (30:02) finished 29th and 39th respectively behind strong running performances. Rounding out the RedTail runners were John Kramer (30:58) and Nick Foxen (34:40), both personal records.

The RedTail men and women return to action October 29 at the NJCAA Region XI meet in Fort Dodge. The national meet is set for November 11, also in Fort Dodge.
