RedTail Cross Country Competes in Dan Huston Invite

RedTail Cross Country Competes in Dan Huston Invite

The RedTails traveled to Waverly on Saturday, September 30, to compete in the Dan Huston Invite.

There were a lot of teams from all over Iowa that traveled to Waverly for the invite.  Jess Cornick competed in the 8000m run and finished with 30:26 as his time. Braden Nystrom also competed in the 8000m run with a time of 33:04. Maddie Tieskotter competed in the 6000m and finished with 28:17 as her time. Anna Dietzenbach also competed in the 6000m with a time of 29:34.

Head coach Scott Roberts had some positive words after Saturday's invite.

"It was a very hot meet with great competition," he said. "We were proud of the women for both running under 30 minutes in their first ever 6k. The men ran well, as well, but didn't have personal bests and the weather and the toughness of the course contributed to that. I was proud of their poise in such a big meet with great competition."

The RedTails next invite will be Saturday, October 7, for the Seminole Valley Stampede.
