Sports Shooting Kicks Off Spring Season with a Win

WATERLOO- The Hawkeye Community College Sports Shooting team began their spring season on Saturday, April 6. The RedTails went head-to-head against Indian Hills Community College.

The RedTails took home first place with a final score of 476 while Indian Hills Community College scored 453. The men swept the competition, taking home all three medals. In first place Christian Haight shot a 98 out of 100, while Max Gardner and Patrick Kuper tied for second place with a score of 95.

In the women's contest, Natalie Koepke shot 94/100 taking home second place, just one point shy of a gold medal. Coming in third place with a score of 88, Courtney Prochaska.

The RedTails will hit the road this Saturday, April 13, to take on Iowa Lakes Community College.
