RedTails Sports Shooting Opens The Fall Season Against Iowa Central

WATERLOO–RedTail Sports Shooting opened the fall season at home Saturday, claiming men's and women's individual titles, but just falling short of the team trophy (495-490) against Iowa Central Community College.

Hawkeye freshman Brianna Heltibridle won the ladies' division with a score of 96, while RedTail sophomores Carter Farley and Braxton Childers both shot 100 in the men's division. It took three shoot-off rounds, but Farley emerged victorious to take home first place on the day.

"We did really well today against a tough opponent," said head coach Troy Emley. "I'm really proud of our kids. They came out and competed really well for our first event of the year."

The RedTails are back in action on Saturday, September 14, at Southeastern Community College.
