RedTails Defeat the Weather and Northwest Iowa CC

WATERLOO–Neither Northwest Iowa Community College nor the weather could stop the RedTails from winning another singles event on Saturday, September 21, as they rolled to a 485-462 victory on a windy, rain-filled day.

Consistency was the key,  as Carter Farley's 99 led the way for RedTails. He was followed closely by three other RedTails (Natalie Koepke, Braxton Childers, Coledon Vroegh) who all finished with a 97. Zachary Abbas rounded out the top five with a strong 95.

In the men's individual competition Northwest's Levi Hendrichs took home first place scoring a perfect 100. Farley took home a very close second (99) and Childers held off Vroegh in a shoot-off to place third.

The RedTails swept the women's individual competition as Koepke took home first place (97). She was followed by Brianna Heltibridle (94) and Amelia Vetter (91) who took home second and third places respectively.

"We're happy to be back at our home facility, and our scores showed our confidence," said head coach Troy Emley. "I am proud of our shooters, as we competed in challenging weather conditions."
