RedTails Out Shoot The Competition

TURKEY VALLEY–The RedTail Sports Shooting team excellent Saturday, going 2-0 in the Eastern Division despite the harsh weather conditions.

Brianna Heltibriddle earned first place in the women's division, posting a score of 94 targets hit out of 100. On the men's side, RedTail Carter Farley won first place with 93/100 targets hit. His teammate Patrick Kuper came right behind him with 92/100 targets hit, enough to win second place.

Head coach Troy Emley was impressed with his teams showcasing despite the porous weather conditions.

"Another challenging day of competition, with brutal weather conditions: wind was gusting to 25+ mph, the temperatures were below freezing, and the snow made seeing targets challenging at times," said coach Emley. "We are proud of our student-athletes, they fought hard for each target."

The RedTails will look to keep improving their shooting skills, as they compete in the SCTP Collegiate Nationals this weekend in Ohio.
