RedTail Sports Shooting Displays Outstanding Performance at the Central Midwest Conference Championships

Columbia, MO - The RedTail Sports Shooting team exhibited exceptional skill and determination at the Spring Central Midwest Conference Championships on March 1st-3rd.

In the High-Over-All category, the team secured an impressive 6th place out of 14 teams, tallying a total of 1,907 targets out of 2,250. Their performance in the Classic All Around event was equally commendable, earning them the 8th place with a total of 1,298 targets out of 1,500.

Individual talents shone brightly as well. Colton Crooks, showcased his exceptional skills by clinching the 3rd place in the Super Sporting category. Additionally, he secured the 7th place in the High-Over-All category, surpassing many competitors from 4-year universities.

Despite the stiff competition, RedTail Sports Shooting managed to hold their own in various team events. Notable mentions include their 5th place finish in Sporting Clays, 6th place in Doubles Skeet, and 4th place in Trap-Doubles.

Individual performances also stood out, with Colton Crooks shining once again by securing 3rd place in Trap-Singles. Other team members like Haydan Pestorious, Elliott Brincks, and Lydia Covert showcased their skills and contributed significantly to the team's overall performance.

Reflecting on the tournament, Head Coach Troy Emley expressed immense pride in the team's achievements, "I am proud of our team for making the trip to Columbia, MO, we have not made trips like this in the past
but this team decided to make the effort to include the Spring Central Midwest Conference Championships in their schedule. Colton Crooks (2nd year, Charles City, IA) shined once again as he earned 3rd Place Male in Super Sporting, and was in the Top 10 (7th Place Male) in the High-Over-All, the top community college student-athlete in amongst the 4-year university competitors.
