DAVENPORT–Alexandria McPherson of Davenport Central has recently signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career with Hawkeye Community College.

McPherson has been bowling since she was five years old, so that is 12 years of experience. She is thrilled to continue to compete in the sport. "She is very appreciative of the opportunity and can't wait to see where her game takes her next," said head coach Roger Taylor.

Coach Taylor first met McPherson at her high school state qualifying event because it was held at our home bowling center, Cadillac XBC. Coach Taylor said, "After multiple conversations and a couple more meetings, McPherson is super excited to continue her academic career here at Hawkeye for Diesel Technologies and be a part of our bowling program."

He explained that McPherson always has a positive attitude. Coach Taylor said, "Alex has said how she would have never thought about bowling collegiately and how everything just seems to be snowballing in the right direction."
