Brooklyn Bennett Signs with RedTail Bowling

CEDAR RAPIDS–Brooklyn Bennett of Thomas Jefferson High School signed her letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Hawkeye Community College.

Bennett will prove to be a strong addition to the 2024-2025 RedTail team, as she has been bowling since just three years old. The incoming RedTail presents herself with a list of accolades; placing fifth in total pins, fifth in score per game, and fourth in high game at the 3A state qualifying meet in the 2024 season. Bennett's high school then went on to take second place in the qualifier and IGHSAU State Team Championships last season.

"I am excited to come to Hawkeye to continue my sport as it is big in my family and almost everyone is a bowler. I cannot wait to meet my teammates and create memories that will last a lifetime," says Bennett.

Bennett plans to pursue a degree in Nursing during her time at Hawkeye Community College.
