Female Athlete of the Week-Chase Doland

RedTail Golf student-athlete Chase Doland has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performances at the Battle of Waterloo Tournament on Friday and Saturday, September 15th and 16th.

Chase won the Battle of Waterloo Tournament overall as well as individually broke two school records. She finished both days scoring 79-78 for a total of 157, earning her 1st place. Her Saturday score of 78 beat the single-round school record as well as her total score of 157 beat the overall 2-day score school record.

"Chase played a great tournament and was great to see her set a couple of school records that she has been working hard to achieve," said head coach Micah Destival. "She did not finish as she would have liked on Friday's round, but on Saturday was able to get it into the clubhouse showing some growth in her game."

"It felt really good to win my last tournament," said Chase. "Knowing that all of the hard work I have put in is beginning to pay off."

Doland is originally from Waterloo.
