RedTail Women’s Golf Scored Fifth at the Graceland Spring Invite

The RedTail Women's Golf team participated in the Graceland Spring Invite on March 22-23, 2024, and even though the weather conditions were not ideal, the team placed fifth out of the seven teams. The overall score of the women's team was 423. 

The RedTails kept their spirits high, which allowed them to have some great scores. Chase Doland scored a 98, which got her in fifth place individually. Libby Larkin golfed a 103, and she came in 15th place. Olivia Hammel came in 27th place with a score of 110. Lauren Funk shot 112 which gave her 30th place. Bailey Nuss golfed a 118, 35th place. 

Head coach Micah Destival said, "Tough conditions to start out the spring season and was proud of Chase Doland for being on the all-tournament team placing in the top five. The other women did a great job of dealing with severe cold weather and stayed very positive throughout the round."

The team will continue their positive spirit at their next event. The next tournament will be at the Galena Golf Club on April 1 for the Clark Spring Invite.
