RedTail Women's Golf Scored Sixth at the Clarke Spring Invite

GALENA, ILL.–The RedTails Women's Golf team competed in the Clarke Spring Invite on April 1-2, 2024. Due to the weather conditions, the event was changed to a one-day event, as they were able to complete a full round. The team placed sixth out of eight teams. The women's team's overall score was 391.

Sophomores Chase Doland and Olivia Hammel tied for 15th in a fourth way tie with 94. Lauren Funk golfed a 96 and tied for 22nd in a third-way tie. Freshman Bailey Nuss finished in 41st place with a score of 107.

"The women did some good things in some horrific weather at Galena," said head coach Micah Destival. "Olivia made a couple of birdies during the round, and all had good stretches of holes. Looking forward to playing in the Upper Iowa Invite this weekend".

RedTails will be back in action April 6-7, 2024, at the SunnySide Country Club in Waterloo for the Upper Iowa Spring Invite. Come out and support your redtails golfers!
