RedTail Women's Golf Came in Sixth Place at Mount Mercy Spring Invite

CEDAR RAPIDS–The RedTails Women's Golf competed at the Mount Mercy University Spring Invitational at Ellis Park on Monday, April 15, and placed sixth place with 544 points out of eight teams. 

Sophomore Chase Doland finished in a three-wide tie in 15th with a score of 132. Olivia Hammel finished in a two-way tie in 20th with a score of 134. Lauren Funk ended in a three-wide tie in 26th with a score of 139. Freshman Bailey Nuss finished in a three-wide tie in 30th with a score of 141. Libby Larkin finished in a two-way tie in 34th with a score of 143. 

Head Coach Micah Destival said, "The women put up a good team score today on a new course and had a good finish against some solid teams. Looking forward to our home invite this weekend to get on a course we are familiar with." 

The RedTails will be back in action this weekend at their home tournament at Gates Parks Golf Course in Waterloo, Iowa, on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, at 8:30 am. Come out and support the RedTails!
