Mia Kurth has signed with RedTail Women’s Wrestling

WAUKON–Mia Kurth, of Waukon High School has recently signed her letter of intent with Hawkeye Community College to continue her athletic and academic career. 

Kurth has been wrestling since she was fourteen years old, so she has three years of experience. She is really looking forward to joining the RedTail wrestling program because she wants to make history for the first year of the program. Kurth said, "I am most excited to watch how much the women's wrestling team grows. I have been competing in girls' wrestling for three years."

Within Kurth's three years of wrestling, she has been very successful. She is a three-time state placer. In her first year, she received fourth place. In her second year, she got third place, and she finished her third year in sixth place. The wrestling program is very excited to welcome Kurth to the team! 

While attending Hawkeye, Kurth will be studying exercise science and kinesiology liberal arts transfer major.
