RedTail Women’s Soccer Takes The Win

RedTail Women’s Soccer Takes The Win

On Saturday, October 7, the RedTails went up against Western Iowa Tech, winning 2-0.

It was a perfect fall day for a RedTail win and sophomore night. Both of the RedTails scores were in the first period. Avery Fleshner started it off with an unassisted goal within the first 18 minutes of the game. Not too long after, Libby Keown made an unassisted goal to make the score 2-0. The RedTails had great offense and also defense, not allowing the Comets to make any goals.

Head coach Chris Rennie had some positive words after the win.

"It was great to get a win on Sophomore night, I've loved every second of working with these girls over the last two years and today I felt it was a performance that represented the players who will be graduating this year," he said. "First half I thought we played really well and took our chances when they came. The growth of the team's ability to move and possess the ball since the start of the season is so pleasing. I'm proud of the group again today!"

The RedTails next match up is on Wednesday, October 11, at Southeastern Community College, starting at 1:00pm.
