The RedTails Sweep The Blackhawks 5-0

The RedTails traveled to West Burlington on Wednesday, October 11, taking home a big win against Southeastern.

The RedTails played an aggressive game with great offense and defense skills against the Blackhawks, making all five goals in the first period. Grace Heddens kicked off the scores, making a goal assisted by Alena Litzel. Not too long after, Jordyn Van Rensburg assisted Heddens for another goal, making the score 2-0. The roles then reversed and Heddens assisted Van Rensburg in making the third goal of the game for the RedTails. Heddens also assisted Ellie Gutcher in making the fourth point and then Jordyn Van Rensburg scored her third and final goal of the day, ending the game at 5-0.

Head coach Chris Rennie had some very positive words after Wednesday's win.

"We had great results today, we started the game on the front foot and got two early goals which really set the tone for the game," he said. "After losing here last year the girls were determined to come and get a win. The group is in a really good place at the moment and excited for the final run into the season."

The RedTails will have their last match of the season at Scott Community College on Wednesday, October 18, starting at 12:00pm.
