HULL, ENGLAND-Eve Harriott of Wyke Sixth Form College has recently signed her letter of intent with Hawkeye Community College to continue her athletic and academic career.

Harriott started playing soccer at the age of six, so she has had a lot of experience in learning the nature of the game. She plays center midfield while on the soccer field.

Harriott said, "I'm looking forward to playing soccer at Hawkeye and being part of the family that Chris [the head coach] and the women's team are building."

Harriott is moving a long way away from home, but she knows that this is the right decision to continue to get better at soccer. She said, "It will be a huge move away from home, but I am most excited by the opportunity to really develop my skills and fitness in the fast-paced American game, alongside other international teammates."

Her biggest accomplishment in soccer has been being awarded Player of the Year twice in her hometown. She was also awarded manager and player of the season. Most recently she has been elected captain for her current soccer team that currently has an undefeated season.

Harriott said, "I am genuinely excited about coming to the States and broadening my cultural horizons, while also setting the foundations for a professional soccer career in the future."

While attending Hawkeye, Harriott will be studying industrial automation technology or exercise science and kinesiology. Welcome to Hawkeye, Harriott!
