
Women’s Soccer Earns Multiple All-Region Honors for 2024
Hawkeye Community College's Women's Soccer team capped off an impressive season with three players named to the 2024 ICCAC Division II Women's Soccer First Team All-Region. Hawkeye finished as runner-up in both the Region 11 Tournament and the regular season standings.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kim Bircher received her second First Team All-Region selection after a stellar season. Bircher posted 11 shutouts in 15 games, making 46 saves and conceding only nine goals, establishing herself as one of the conference's top goalkeepers.
Joining her on the First Team are Nelly Dallmann and Miranda Tyler. Dallmann, a sophomore midfielder, contributed six goals and five assists, making a strong impact on both sides of the field. Freshman defender Miranda Tyler added seven goals and three assists, providing both defensive stability and offensive power.
Hawkeye also secured three players on the Second Team. Annabell Veryard (midfielder), Jil Lehmann (forward), and Morgan Aikey (forward) all made notable contributions this season, showcasing Hawkeye's depth and talent across the field.
Receiving Honorable Mention All-Region honors were Jael Bruhlmeier, a freshman forward, and Jordyn Van Rensburg, a sophomore defender, who both made significant impacts in their respective roles.
These recognitions highlight the strength of Hawkeye's roster and their competitive presence in the ICCAC this season.
