
Jayda Wardell Commits to Hawkeye CC for Women’s Soccer
GUTTENBERG- Jayda Wardell stays close to home in Guttenberg and commits to Hawkeye for women's soccer for the 2025 season.
Wardell is a seasoned pro when it comes to soccer, as she's been a participant in the game for 12 years. Her primary position is striker. She plans to study journalism here at Hawkeye.
"I have always wanted to play local to my hometown," says Wardell. "Hawkeye Community College is a great fit for me, so I can be close to home. I started playing soccer in first grade, and I immediately fell in love with the sport! During recreational, we won the cup multiple years. My freshman year, I got to experience state soccer. I lettered every year and played varsity since my sophomore year. My junior year, I scored an Olimpico goal."
Wardell will bring much experience and enthusiasm to the team in 2025.
