Women's Track and Field Competes at NJCAA Outdoor Nationals

EL DORADO, Kan. – Hurdler Megan Hudson led the charge for the Hawkeye Community College women's track and field team at the NJCAA National Outdoor Championships hosted by Butler Community College.

Hudson ran to a ninth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdle prelims, missing the finals by a tenth of a second (14.99 seconds). The RedTails also featured strong efforts from Haile Cook, who was 15th in the hammer toss with a throw of 41 meters, and Joanna Topham in the steeplechase, who was 18th with a time of 12:48.03.

With the inaugural season in the books, Hawkeye women's squad laid a strong foundation for the future. With another outstanding recruiting class on the way, the RedTails are poised for a terrific 2018-2019 season.
