Female Athlete of the Week-Amber Homan

RedTail Track and Field student-athlete Amber Homan has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Jack Jennett Invite at the University of Northern Iowa on January 19th.

Amber had an incredible start to the indoor track and field season taking first place at the Jack Jennett Invitational at UNI. She ran 1:46.86 in the 600-meter, which is one of the fastest times in Hawkeye Community College school history.

"Amber surprised herself in this race," said head coach Scott Roberts. "Once she took the lead, she never looked back and ran one of the fastest times in school history."

Homan is originally from Denver, IA.
