Female Athlete of the Week-Amber Homan

RedTail Track and Field student-athlete Amber Homan has been named Scheels Female Athlete of the Week for her performance in the Mississippi River Rumble at Mount Mercy University on April 6th.

Amber was the champion in the 800m at the Mississippi River Rumble-University of Dubuque. She was 1st out of 12 competitors and won by nearly 4 seconds with a time of 2:20.91, just missing the NJCAA National qualifying standard of 2:20.31.

"Very impressive performance in her first outdoor 800m of the season, winning by almost 4 seconds and nearly hitting the NJCAA qualifying standard on a chilly, windy day," said head coach Scott Roberts.

Homan is originally from Denver, IA.
