RedTails Women Take on Augustana Meet Of Champions

ROCK ISLAND, ILL.—The RedTails Women's Track and Field team competed at the Meet of Champions, hosted by Augustana College, April 19-20. 

Sophomore Kendall See had a personal record in the 400-meter dash and finished in 19th place at 1:96.52. 

The 4x100 meter relay of Tasha Williams, See, Gracie Rathe, and Kallie Mincks finished in 11th place with a time of 53.77. 

Williams finished 22nd in the high jump with a jump at the 4-6 height. 

In the shot put, Sophomore Delaney Kopriva finished in 18th place with a throw of 9.91m, Freshman Darcee O'Loughlin finished in 28th place with a throw of 9.14m, and Sophomore Elyse Trunck finished in 31st with a throw of 8.94m. In the discus, Trunk finished 20th with a throw of 34.27m, and O'Loughlin finished 35th with 29.84m. In the hammer, Trunck finished in 28th with a throw of 36.00m and Kopriva in 36th with a throw of 30.23m.  In the javelin, O'Loughlin finished in 25th with a throw of 23.79m and Trunck in 27th with a throw of 23.62m.  

The RedTails will be in action this week as some will participate in Drake Relays from April 24-27, 2024. The rest of the team Viking Classic at the Grand View on Friday, April 26, 2024. Coach Roberts is looking forward to this weekend's temperature, which should help as we gear up for regionals in the first week of May.
