The 11th-ranked Hawkeye Community College volleyball team suffered its first conference loss of the year to No. 16 Iowa Central Community College, 23-25, 25-21, 26-24, 20-24, and 9-15.
The RedTails fell to 11-2 overall and 2-1 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference despite another strong performance from star Megan Hudson, who led the way with 18 kills. Paige Eiffler contributed eight kills to the losing effort.
Defensively, Haylee Keune accounted for 14 digs, while Alexis Wroe and Maggie Driscol collected 13 each.
